EigenCloud debuts ‘Agentic by Eigen’ builder cohort in Bangalore, targeting developers as Forrester names agentic AI top emerging tech for 2026.
EigenCloud kicked off its global builder program last week in Bangalore, betting that India’s developer talent pool can capture a meaningful slice of the agentic AI market—a sector Forrester just named the top emerging technology for 2026.
The inaugural “Agentic by Eigen” event brought together AI founders, solo developers, and engineers from large companies for live demos and networking. CTO Vishnu opened with EigenCloud’s vision for agentic infrastructure, while a panel featuring Eigen’s Ajit and Antler India’s Jasnoor tackled what they called “Agentic India”—the country’s opportunity to lead in autonomous AI systems.
Why Builders Matter Now
The timing isn’t accidental. Gartner projects that by 2028, 33% of enterprise software will include agentic AI, up from under 1% in 2024. That’s a land grab waiting to happen, and EigenCloud wants developers building on its infrastructure when it does.
Yet the path isn’t straightforward. BCG research from March 18 found that 74% of companies struggle to scale value from AI implementations. The gap between demo-ready agents and production-grade systems remains wide—exactly the problem builder programs aim to solve through hands-on collaboration rather than documentation alone.
Bangalore attendees saw live demos of agents already running in production on EigenCloud, a deliberate choice over slide decks. “Seeing real agents running in production did more for the room than any slide deck could,” the company noted.
Global Ambitions
EigenCloud positions Agentic as a recurring global series, not a one-off event. The stated goal: become the default gathering spot for developers serious about autonomous AI systems. Partners Inner Circle and AI&Weekends handled community curation, while Antler India provided investor perspective.
The feedback loop matters here. EigenCloud explicitly frames these events as product development inputs—conversations and builder needs directly shaping platform roadmap decisions.
For developers weighing where to invest their time, the agentic AI space offers concrete use cases already showing results. Real estate firms using agentic systems report compressing site selection from months to days. Financial underwriting that took days now happens in minutes.
Whether EigenCloud captures meaningful developer mindshare depends on execution beyond events—documentation quality, infrastructure reliability, and whether production agents actually perform. Bangalore was the pitch. The product has to deliver.
