Bitget Targets TradFi Users as Tokenized Stock Volume Tops $1 Billion

Bitget is expanding its tokenized stock business with the launch of Bitget Stocks 2.0, a spot trading product aimed at making tokenized equities more liquid and easier to use across the exchange’s broader ecosystem.

The product is issued by Reality, a licensed real-world asset issuance platform. Bitget is providing strategic support, trading access, and asset security through its exchange infrastructure.

The upgrade focuses on three areas: deeper liquidity, 1:1 economic mapping to the underlying stock, and broader use of stock tokens across Bitget’s margin, strategy, and yield tools.

Gracy Chen, Bitget’s CEO, said tokenized equities are becoming an important link between crypto markets and traditional finance. “By 2030, we could see over 10% of global financial assets tokenized,” Chen said, adding that future growth will depend on platforms that combine access, depth, and compliance.

Bitget said Stocks 2.0 is designed to connect tokenized stock trading with real equity-market liquidity from global channels. The aim is to give users deeper order books, faster execution, and lower trading friction inside the Bitget app.

Eligible stock tokens will support 1:1 asset mapping. Users can trade directly with USDT, while cash dividends will be converted into USDT and credited to user accounts, while stock dividends will be reflected in balances. That structure is meant to keep the economic exposure of the token aligned with the underlying equity.

Bitget Expands App Functionality With Stocks 2.0

Bitget is also making tokenized stocks more useful inside its own platform. Eligible assets can be used in unified accounts and margin systems. They can also connect with tools such as spot grid, futures grid, copy trading, and selected yield products.

Bitget is also competing on cost. The exchange said its base rate for the product is 0.1%, while maker and taker fees are set at 0.05% for eligible users, with additional BGB-related offers.

The launch builds on Bitget’s earlier push into tokenized equities, stock futures, tokenized ETFs, and pre-IPO products. The company said cumulative tokenized stock spot volume on its platform passed $1 billion in January 2026.

It also said it accounted for about 89% of Ondo-issued tokenized stock trading volume in December 2025. Bitget’s stock futures products have crossed $10 billion in cumulative trading volume.

The first batch of Stocks 2.0 includes 36 newly listed stock-linked assets. The list covers major U.S. names and ETFs, including Apple, Amazon, Meta, Tesla, Alphabet, Nvidia, Microsoft, and QQQ.
