BNB Chain has unveiled its H2 2026 tech roadmap, signaling another aggressive push to double mainnet throughput and solidify its position as a high-speed blockchain for institutional-grade applications. This update follows a successful first half of 2026, where the network halved block intervals to 450ms and reduced in-memory finality to 650ms, achieving benchmark throughput of ~5,200 transactions per second (TPS). Now, BNB Chain aims to scale performance toward a 10x improvement while laying the foundation for a next-generation Layer 1 (L1) capable of 1 million TPS.

High Performance: Over 100,000 TPS using co-optimized consensus and parallel execution.
