Cancore raises $7.2M round to connect Canton with public-chain liquidity
Cancore raises $7.2 million to expand tokenized asset trading infrastructure.
Platform reports $53.2 million in volume across more than 84,000 trades.
Funding supports AI trading agents, cross-chain settlement and expanded liquidity access.
Cancore, a platform built on the Canton Network that connects tokenized assets with public blockchain liquidity, has raised $7.2 million in a seed funding round backed by Paper Ventures, dao5, ArkStream Capital, X Ventures, MH Ventures, and Proof of Talk.
The platform has been live on Canton mainnet since April 2026, operating as a validator and Featured App.
According to Cancore, as of October 1, it had processed more than $53.2 million in cumulative trading volume across more than 84,000 trades and generated over $538,000 in protocol revenue.
Cancore is developing infrastructure designed to connect Canton-native assets, including tokenized real-world assets (RWAs), with liquidity on public blockchain networks.
The company describes its approach as a “Liquidity OS for Tokenized Finance,” aimed at supporting the execution and trading of tokenized financial assets across blockchain ecosystems.
“Canton has built strong institutional foundations, and the next step is opening it to broader market liquidity,” said Ye Su, General Partner at ArkStream.
“Cancore is taking a practical approach, with live volume and revenue from day one. We’re pleased to back a team focused on real usage over hype.”
Cancore uses atomic settlement to execute transactions between Canton and supported public blockchain networks.
The company said transactions are designed to either complete in full or fail without partial execution.
Users retain control of their private keys through Cancore’s self-custody wallet, while swaps are structured to settle on both networks or be refunded.
The platform also supports automated execution through a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server, which allows users to automate platform actions and delegate tasks to AI systems.
Cancore plans to expand these capabilities by enabling users to build and deploy their own trading agents to execute strategies, rebalance portfolios, allocate capital, and interact with liquidity.
Alongside its work on agentic trading infrastructure, Cancore plans to add more real-world assets (RWAs) and liquidity to Canton.
“Tokenization is bringing a growing range of financial assets onchain, but making those assets programmable is the next step,” said Wasif Rashid, co-founder and CEO of Cancore.
“We see a future where users can deploy capital across tokenized assets and use agents to execute strategies and manage positions on their behalf.”
The broader aim is to enable trading agents to interact with Canton-native assets, tokenized real-world assets and public-chain liquidity through a single execution layer.
Cancore will use the $7.2 million seed funding to expand into additional blockchain networks and liquidity sources, while continuing to develop its agentic trading, security, and settlement infrastructure.
“In traditional markets, much of the value sits with the infrastructure that moves capital between venues: clearing, settlement, prime brokerage,” said Danish Chaudhry, General Partner at Paper Ventures.
“Tokenized markets will need the same layer, and between Canton and public chains it barely exists today. Cancore is building it to the security standard institutions expect, and we think this team is well placed to define how tokenized capital moves across networks.”
The expansion will build on its existing connectivity across Canton, Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM)-compatible networks, and Tron.
