ZEC Price Eyes $1,500 as Mining Profitability Surges

Zcash Shielded Transactions Top 3.29M as Price Holds Firm

ZEC price has entered a volatile phase after recently reaching $1,300, but rising mining profitability is giving the asset another bullish angle. Zcash miner rewards sit near $2 million per day, far below Bitcoin’s roughly $35 million, yet mining economics tell a different story.

Zcash Mining Profitability Is Stealing Attention

Grayscale Research data shows Zcash mining rewards are roughly twice as high per mining rig and about four times higher per megawatt hour (MWh). That gap has clearly mattered, with total Zcash mining activity rising more than 2.5x this year.

The numbers don’t make Zcash bigger than Bitcoin in mining rewards. They do, however, show why miners may be finding the network increasingly attractive.

ZEC Demand Has Clearly Picked Up

The ZEC technical chart also points toward stronger demand. Investors have increasingly taken interest in the asset and accumulated ZEC, helping drive the price sharply higher.

That demand has already pushed ZEC to $1,300. Now the market is dealing with a more complicated question: can buyers keep the momentum going, or is the latest rally running out of steam?

ZEC Price Faces $1,500 Or $900 Next

For now, ZEC price remains in a volatility phase. If bullish momentum continues, the next major psychological target could be the $1,500 round-number level.

But there’s no guarantee buyers will get there. A pickup in selling pressure could instead trigger a correction toward $900 or potentially lower.

That leaves ZEC price at an interesting point. Rising mining profitability and stronger investor accumulation support the bullish case, while the current volatility keeps downside risk firmly on the table. The next move could decide whether ZEC price extends its rally or gives back part of the recent gains.
